Unique St Agnes driftwood lamp bases with shipworm (Teredo Navalis) sculpting.

Sometimes, the sea brings in treasure... These lamp bases were crafted from a large log that washed in on Bar on St Agnes, complete with dramatic shipworm holes. (This is the awesomely destructive beast that caused the Royal Navy to nail sheets of copper to the bottom of their oak warships in the 19th century.) The lamps are designed to show of this natural sculpting and to be as tactile and stroke-able as possible. It goes without saying that they are unique and a complete Scillonian one-off.


Please be aware that, although made to a similar design, each lamp is slightly different and will have a unique pattern of worm holes. Please contact me if you require more information, or if you are after a (nearly) matching pair...
