The 16 tracks on this compilation album represent the heart of my 10-year quest to capture in music the extraordinary landscape, people and stories of the Isles of Scilly. There are tunes from each of my seven full length albums together with a few tracks previously unreleased.
The quest has taken me to countless locations across the islands in an effort to faithfully reproduce the unique character of Scilly in musical form, and the range of styles apparent in this collection of tracks tells the story of my musical journey in search of island authenticity in sound. It's a quest that has involved many musical collaborators over the years and most are represented here.
The album is dedicated to my good friend John Elliott without whose production wizardry and musicianship the quest would never have got off the ground.
