This collection of poems - mostly about Scilly, with the occasional voyage to the wider world - is the result of living in an incredibly inspiring place and using poetry both as a way of making sense of it and as a way of preserving experienced moments of beauty or power. It has evolved over the years as an inevitable response to place, and the hope is that lovers of Scilly will find images and ideas that resonate with their own experiences of the islands.
